Anonymous asked: As a random person who follows both you and Scott online, I was weirdly excited to hear that the two of you are living together. You’re two of the most rational, ethical and caring people I’ve come across on the Internet. So I was taken aback when your recommendation of Scott was simply that he is “not terrible”. Do you disagree significantly with many of his ideas?

I agree with Scott on like 98% of things and think we have a reasonable disagreement that can exist between compassionate people trying to do good on the other 2%, and I am consistently glad to see new posts from him because he’s smart, thoughtful and wants good things for the world. I trust him. I’m really excited to be living with him. I didn’t go “my friend is great” mostly because I feel like my choice of roommates shouldn’t actually require eloquent and lengthy defense on the internet but, yeah, my friend is great.
